The Centre for Military and Strategic Studies is a research centre at the University of Calgary. Established in 1999, CMSS is a part of the Security and Defence Forum, a valuable network specializing in defence and security studies across Canada.

The Centre has distinctive ties to the Canadian Forces and the Department of National Defence, and the teaching and research undertaken at CMSS have an impact that exceeds its size with regard to defence and security issues in Canada and internationally.
