Dr. Tim Stapleton, professor in the Department of History and senior fellow at the Centre for Military, Security and Strategic Studies at the University of Calgary, will be speaking on the Africanization of British colonial forces in East Africa in 1917, discussing how it ultimately neutralized the main German goal of preventing British manpower and other resources from reaching more important theatres of operation.
